Sally Young – Quality Assurance Blog

Hello,

Since my last blog, 38 wards and departments are now on the QAAS scheme, this is brilliant news. A special well done goes to Ward 6 at FGH and Special Care baby Unit at FGH for scoring GREEN on their first visit.

I am pleased to say that we have now agreed the exemplar award status process, this means that any ward that has scored three consecutive green scores in a row will be able to apply for exemplar status.

These areas will be asked to compile a portfolio of evidence, they will be visited by members of the Quality Improvement Panel and they then will present to the rest of the panel the following week. If they are successful, the exemplar status logo will be displayed in the ward and department staff will receive a pin badge and lanyard. They will also be invited to the staff achievement awards to celebrate their success.

I would also like to invite you to take part in our class sprint which will take place in October – please see below
