NHS Morecambe Bay Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is in the process of developing patient engagement activities prior to the completion of the Alfred Barrow Health Centre.
As construction work is progressing on the health centre, one of the main aims of the Communications and Engagement group is to engage with the patients registered at the three GP practices relocating.
A patient information flyer and survey have been developed to inform patients about the progress of the GP practice relocation and ensure the affected patients have the opportunity to have their say. Hard copies of the flyer and survey will be available in the waiting room of each GP surgery and on the GP practice websites along with the Morecambe Bay CCG website. The survey will close on Thursday 31 January.
Each of the affected GP surgeries will also hold two drop-in sessions in January to update patients, staff and stakeholders about the relocation and to ensure they have the opportunity to ask questions and share their views.
A FAQ document will be developed, and this will be updated continuously in response to patient questions/concerns. It will also be published on Morecambe Bay CCG’s website and the websites of the three GP surgeries.
The contractor is forecasting completion on the Alfred Barrow Health Centre for late Spring 2019 with weekly progress monitoring being held on site.
